Spay/Neuter Fund

Minimize
Each year, over four million animals are euthanized in shelters across the country. As one of the few no-kill animal shelters in Georgia, PAWS Atlanta strives to reduce the problem of pet overpopulation by spaying/neutering our shelter animals and offering low-cost spay/neuters to the public.

By making a tax-deductible contribution to the PAWS Atlanta Spay/Neuter Fund, you are helping to alleviate the terrible consequence of pet overpopulation. Donate to the Spay/Neuter Fund today!

Help Me Heal Fund

Minimize
Not every dog or cat who arrives at PAWS Atlanta is in a suitable condition to be adopted. Some come to us with urgent medical needs ranging from broken bones, skin burns or infections requiring critical care, and other orthopedic and medical issues requiring surgical intervention. Others come with deep emotional scars due to neglect and mistreatment. The Help Me Heal Fund provides medical care for extreme illness or injury for an animal in our care.

Our no-kill philosophy is very simple. It means that we give all of the animals in our care, the attention they need and deserve. Period. Donate to the Help Me Heal Fund today!

Updates from Graduates of our Special Funds

Your support makes a tangible difference in the lives our animals. Frisbee, Melvin, Zamora and Disney thank you for your contribution to their special needs funds!

Frisbee, a two-year-old, Brittany Spaniel, has recovered from surgery to correct a “trick knee”. He is enjoying a pain-free life, thanks to the Help Me Heal Fund, and is continuing his physical therapy with one of our dedicated volunteers while he awaits his forever home. Melvin, a deaf and blind, eight-year-old, Miniature Poodle, is spending his golden years in a loving, permanent foster home thanks to the Help Me Heal Fund. He shares his foster home with two PAWS Atlanta dogs and two cats. He is happiest snuggling on the couch with his foster mom. Zamora, a Pointer mix, recently celebrated her first birthday by finding a foster home to nurse her back to health after her surgery. She is scheduled to have surgery for Legg-Perthes disease, a painful condition affecting the head of the femur. She is expected to make a full recovery and live a pain-free life thanks to the Help Me Heal Fund. Disney, a two-year-old Rottweiler, was found abandoned at PAWS Atlanta. She was underweight, heartworm positive and scared of everyone. After gaining weight and starting her heartworm treatment, she completed three weeks of hands-on obedience training at Jabula Dog Academy thanks to the Send Me To School Fund. She has made tremendous progress. She is finishing her heartworm treatment and will soon begin her search for the perfect home.
